Botanical Description: A perennial soft tomentose upto3m in height, stems round, frequently tinged with purple. The leaves are simple, ovate to orbicular-cordate, 1.9 -2.5 cm long. Flowers solitary on joint peduncles, yellow capsules hispid, seeds 3-5, reniform, tubercled-hairy, black or dark brown. Flowering and fruiting is throughout the year.
They are found in the sub Himalayan tract and hills upto 1200m and in hotter parts of India.
