Indian name: Dill
Habitat: Cultivated in Indian gardens for culinary purposes" As the fruit of the Indian variety is much more narrowly winged than the variety met with in Europe , It is considered by some to belong to a distinct species Anethum sowa.
Useful in: Essential oil contained in the fruit and the distilled water of the fruit are much used in flatulence, hiccup, colic and abdominal pain in children and in adults.
