Habitat: India

Useful in: Varuna is used as a litholytic agent, in treating 'Kapha' and 'Vata' varieties of ashmari (calculi). It also clears crystalluria (sharkara). It is the drug of choice in disorders of the urinary tract, and in renal and bladder calculi.
