Habitat: Vasaka is indigenous to India, where it is found in sub- Himalayan track upto an altitude of 1000 m. and in Maharashtra; especially, in Konkan region. Besides India, it is found in Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Malaya.
Useful in: Vasaka is used as expectorant and bronchodilator. It helps to fight cough induced not just by infections but caused by pollution, dust smoke and allergies.
