Latin name: Argemone mexicana
Indian name: Swarna Kshiri
Habitat: Throughput the hotter parts of India, in areas up to 1,500 m. elevation on roadsides and west places. Its origin is in America.
Useful in: Its roots are useful in infestation, skin diseases, inflammation, constipation, flatulence. Leaves are useful in cough, wounds. Seeds are useful in constipation, and malarial fever. Latex is useful in dropsy, skin diseases. It has anti-exudative properties.
